Ms. Marcie A. Barber has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of The Juniata Valley Bank ('Bank') and Juniata Valley Financial Corp. since July 2, 2010. Ms. Barber served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Bank from June 2007 to July 2, 2010. She served as Senior Vice President and Community Office Division Manager of Bank since November 2006. She served as Senior Vice President and Credit Services Division Manager of The First National Bank of Mifflintown, a subsidiary of First Community Financial Corp. from 1998 until November 2006. She began her career in 1980 at Central Counties Bank, State College, PA, which later merged with Pittsburgh-based Mellon Bank, N.A. Ms. Barber spent 16 years with Mellon Bank in Retail Bank Management and Commercial Lending. She had been Member of Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council of Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Inc. since January 1, 2014 and of PA Bankers Service Corp. Ms. Barber has been a Director of Juniata Valley Financial Corp. since July 2, 2010 and Juniata Valley Bank since 2010. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA and she graduated with honors from the American Banking Association's Graduate School of Commercial Lending in Norman, OK. She is a graduate of the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia and the Darden/SNL Executive Program in Bank Financial Leadership. She currently serves as a Director of PA Bankers Association and of Downtown Lewistown, Inc.
